ShowDoc and ShowRun

The show document, the rundown and the presenter timer.

ShowDocLive is two tools in one project. ShowDoc is the live document your crew opens on a phone. ShowRun is the timed sheet you call. Stage crews call it a run of show. Broadcast crews call it a rundown. The stage timer and the messages for the person on stage sit on that sheet.

ShowDoc

The crew show doc

This is the production document: the schedule, the contacts, the venue, the plot notes. You write it in sections. Crew open one link, or scan a QR code on the call sheet, and the page updates when you edit.

Tables turn into cards on a small screen. A section can be locked so only the roles you choose can see it. Pasted links become cards. On Pro you can dictate a section, tidy the wording, attach files from your own Google Drive, and let a supplier drop files in through a link.

ShowRun · Pro

The rundown, the caller and the timer

ShowRun is one timed sheet with two names. On stage it is the run of show. In broadcast, studio and livestream work it is the rundown. Cue, start, duration and end stay in step: change a length and the later rows move. Start the show, pause it, or resume it. The row you are in is marked, and the next one is marked too.

The stage timer opens on another screen — the confidence monitor, a lectern laptop, a browser on the stage. From the desk you nudge a minute, lock the timer to the cue, and send a message such as WRAP UP. Preview it before it goes live.

Feature list

Everything in the product

Free is the ShowDoc. Pro and Team add ShowRun and the AI tools.

ShowDoc, on every plan

  • Sections for the schedule, contacts, venue, technical notes and anything else the crew must read
  • One live share link. A long unguessable link, or a short link that asks for a password
  • QR code you can put on the call sheet
  • Phones, tablets and laptops. Tables become cards on a small screen
  • Restricted sections, hidden unless you grant that role
  • Pasted URLs become cards with open and copy
  • Light and dark theme
  • Export a document to PDF, or save the project as one .sdl file and import it later

ShowDoc on Pro and Team

  • Unlimited ShowDocs. Free is one
  • Dictate into a section, then Format & Tidy
  • Google Drive files, kept in your Drive and never made public
  • 1 GB Fast Storage, and File Upload Links so a supplier can drop a file into a section
  • Contributor links for people editing chosen sections, without a paid seat
  • Team seats with a shared pool of AI credits
  • Grok Bot, so an assistant can work through the connector at mcp.showdoclive.com
  • Optional white-label on the public crew page, £750 a year

ShowRun: rundown and run of show

  • Cue, start, duration, end, description, notes, responsible, private notes, and columns you add
  • Durations drive the clocks. A longer cue pushes the later start and end times
  • More than one day on the same run
  • Import and export Excel and CSV
  • Undo and redo
  • Start, pause, resume and end the show. Rehearsal is separate from the live call
  • Keep to time puts the active cue back on the planned clock
  • A crew link for the rundown. Private notes stay off that page
  • Voice agent and a text agent for edits, using AI credits. Dictate and tidy inside a cell

Stage timer and presenter messages

  • Countdown and time of day on the presenter screen
  • Yellow and red thresholds you set
  • Nudge the timer by one or five minutes
  • Lock to the cue so advancing reloads the remaining time
  • Open the output on another display and go full screen
  • Message the presenter: preview first, then show it. Resize the type
  • Ready phrases: Wrap up, 30 seconds, Last question, Stand by — or your own line
